Glossary of RA Terms

This is the glossary for RA terms used on my website. If you feel a term needs to be explained that is not listed here let me know and I’ll put it on. All abbreviations are listed in the abbreviations section which is sorted by buildings, units, and general abbreviations. I will slowly be adding to this over time as I review my website. Not all terms are defined yet but I will be working on it. I am more interested in getting all the terms together and organizing them.

Abbreviations

Building Abbreviations – These are the abbreviations I use when stating build orders. (truck) is used to denote making a truck immediately after placing the last building.

a – advanced power plant

b – barracks

c – chronosphere

cy – construction yard

d – service depot

g – gap generator

o – ore refinery

p – power plant (small)

r – radar

s – silo

w – war factory

t – tech center by default. Teslas and Turrets also begin with T but since they are defensive structures and primary orders don’t use teslas or turrets much t will general stand for tech. On some occasions I may use t to stand for tesla but I will try to write it out rather than allow for this confusion. Often in context it would be obvious whether or not tech/tesla/turret is appropriate depending on allies/soviets and whether or not radar has been built yet.

KOTH – King of the Hill

KOTG – Keep Off the Grass – a map

L – Left

LM – Left Middle

N – North

ORA – Owns Red Alert

PGL – Pro Gamers’ League

P4 – P4-Rashowdown – a map

R – Right

RM – Right Middle

S – South

SG – Shallow Grave – a map
